Questions? We're here to help.
LifeScreen is a platform that partners with nonprofit blood centers to offer free ctRNA cancer screening panels to blood donors. Our mission is to make early cancer detection accessible to everyone while strengthening the national blood supply.
Circulating tumor RNA (ctRNA) testing analyzes RNA fragments shed by tumors into the bloodstream. This liquid biopsy approach can detect signals from multiple cancer types early — often before symptoms appear — using a standard blood sample.
The screening is completely free for blood donors. No insurance, no copay, no hidden fees. LifeScreen covers the cost through our blood center partnerships. You simply donate blood and opt in.
No. LifeScreen provides screening results, not a diagnosis. If your panel detects a signal, we provide guidance on next steps and connect you with medical professionals for further evaluation. Always consult your healthcare provider.
While other multi-cancer early detection (MCED) tests exist, they typically cost hundreds to thousands of dollars. LifeScreen makes similar technology free by integrating it into the blood donation process, removing cost as a barrier.
Most healthy adults 17+ who weigh at least 110 lbs are eligible. Some conditions or medications may affect eligibility. When you sign up, we'll walk you through a quick screening. Don't count yourself out — deferrals are rare.
Blood centers receive a powerful incentive to offer prospective donors: free cancer screening. This drives more foot traffic, increases donations, and helps address chronic blood shortages — all at no cost to the blood center.
We're expanding rapidly. Enter your zip code to check availability. If we're not in your area yet, sign up for our waitlist and we'll notify you — and reach out to your local blood center on your behalf.
Making cancer screening accessible to everyone.
LifeScreen was founded on a simple belief: no one should miss cancer because they couldn't afford a screening. By partnering with the nonprofit blood centers that communities already trust, we've created a model where everyone wins — donors get free cancer screening, blood centers increase donations, and the national blood reserve grows stronger.
